Student Achievements

Going by the well known saying “The taste of the cake lies in its eating”, KIT evaluates its introspection index by the achievements of its students. The budding engineers exhibit their acquired competence through some eye catching activities for which KIT academia and management readily extends support and encouragement. The following list indicates a few of the remarkable activities and achievements of the students.

Professional cum Academic Clubs

Renewable Energy Club: The students have realized the real importance of the theme of renewable energy sources and have formed a “Renewable Energy Sources Club”. Its activities include inter-student discussions on different aspects of the theme, organizing inter-college state level workshops on the topic.

The ROBOT Club: The students having interest in both electronics and mechanical engineering have joined hands and formed a ROBOT Club where the members put their innovative ideas of designing working robots. A students’ seminar on robotics was organized and conducted by the students under the auspices of this club, in collaboration with M/s. SakRobotics.

Inter-college competitions: Six students of MBA Stream participated in the National Students’ Management Meet, “CHATURA – 2011” held at the Aditya Institute of Technology, Tekili, Andhra Pradesh and took part in three competitions out of which they proudly bagged two prizes.

Student members of the Renewable Energy Sources Club have participated and have brought laurels to KIT by winning prizes in competitions at a conference cum workshop on the topic held at the APEX College, Bhubaneswar and at NIST, Berhampur.

A six member team of students did make two robots and presented them in the All India Competition on Robot Designing held during the Techfest “SASTRA 2010” at IIT, Madras.
